Elizabeth Futral Featured in Juan

The film Juan, based on Mozart's Dio Giovanni and starring soprano Elizabeth Futral as Elvira, had it's international opening this week in Copenhagen. It is set to appear in theaters across the United States in upcoming weeks.

Bryan Hymel Stars in Carmen in 3D

Tenor Bryan Hymel will star in Francesca Zambello's production of Bizet's Carmen, filmed in 3D at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, where Mr. Hymel sang the role last spring. The world premiere screaning will take place on February 6th at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival.

Filianoti Sings Hoffmann at the Met

Tenor Giuseppe Filianoti this week is returning to the Metropolitan Opera for the title role in Offenbach's Les Contes d'Hoffmann. It will be the first performance for Mr. Filianoti at the Met since February of 2009, and he will be reprising a role that he has recently done to great acclaim in both Paris and Hamburg.
